I don't see on your website info on your speaking out about the likely illegal attacks on programs and agencies that Congress authorized by Musk and the Trump administration. We need your voice. I listened to Angus King's remarks on the Senate floor before the vote on Vought's confirmation. I was gob-smacked that it didn't move a single Republican to vote against him. Nor you.
These are the times that try our souls. We need each and every one of our Senators and Representatives to reclaim their responsibilities, find their voices, and become the conscience of America, leading, not following. Doing what's right, not simply what's politically expedient. The American people are hungry for change but not demolition, not tyranny. If you lead the way to a just, compassionate and fair America, the people will support you. But it has to be honest and not cowed by the petty, vengeful, self-obsession of Musk and Trump. You've been through it before and have seen the damage that blind fealty to and fear of this president can bring. We need you. You are our representative in these extraordinary times. We need you to stand up.
