Her murder is what you condone as you continue to stand silent while the administration maligns, assaults, kidnaps and kills immigrants and citizens it sees as unwanted. Congress has failed time and again to create just and compassionate immigration reform. Instead of doing its job and creating a safe border and pathways to citizenship for millions who live and contribute to the well-being of the nation without status, they give carte blanche to a truly immoral and violent Department of Homeland Thuggery and then use those forces against Trump's self-perceived enemies and political opponents, taking sadistic delight in ever more cruel actions toward a community who is already on the margins of the society.
Senator Collins, I still believe that you know better than this. You were there during the January 6 riots, you saw the damage Trump did in his first term, the fear he cast on members of your party. You know you must do better than silence and capitulation. Please stand up for us - not just Mainers but for all who live and work in America.
