Dear family, friends, and fellow travelers,
The song this cycle is Rise and Sing, written several years ago at song writer's retreat, after a morning detail share.
Some of our grandchildren are here with their parents, days are busy, corn is high, the weather warm and way too dry, our hearts happy with the delight of ordinary days, shared. The song catches that mysterious moment of melancholy that sometimes finds us even on the happiest days - is it looking ahead, looking back -- who knows. But, always, time to rise and sing! If you need to say goodbye to July like I do, take another listen to Late July.
Here's a playlist of all the songs from all the newsletters.
I'm sending you a monthly offering from original music I've been writing over many years. I've been so bold as to add your email to my newsletter list. You can unsubscribe at any time (link at the bottom of the email).
Many songs are recorded solo, some are from different musical twinings from over the years - all are original tunes, with some occasional collaborations.
My best to each,
