The song this cycle is Rise and Sing, written several years ago at song writer's retreat, after a morning detail share.
Some of our grandchildren are here with their parents, days are busy, corn is high, the weather warm and way too dry, our hearts happy with the delight of ordinary days, shared. The song catches that mysterious moment of melancholy that sometimes finds us even on the happiest days - is it looking ahead, looking back -- who knows. But, always, time to rise and sing!
